Village visits and Kava parties

In Fiji Islands, there are Kava parties all day, all night, seven days a week! Kava is a non alcoholic drink which is made from the root of the Kava plant. Fijian people drink this when welcoming people as their tradition. It will make you a little high and also sleepy. If you go to a village, you will be welcomed with a Kava party by the villagers. There is a dress code and rules you should be aware of when visiting a village.
For example, women need to wear long, conservative clothing which covers their bodies. Men should try to a sulu, which is a traditional wrap around skirt.
