A.Students who are participating in Long-term courses should arrive 1 week prior to the commencement of the course, You may start your stay anytime after the first Friday of the semester. After the semester, students must stay in their accommodations until the end of the month.
A.Do not worry about your English level! Also, there are 7 levels to fit your English level. In both schools, please do not give up on speaking English just because of few mistakes. It is important that you try to maintain the amount of communication is English. Fijian people will help you!
A.Fiji Islands is safer than most of the other English learning destinations. It is a tourism country, however, just don't lose your common sense. Don't leave your belongings unattended, or show the contents of your wallet to strangers. If you can act responsible, you should be fine.

A. If you want to go, then that is the right timing for you to apply. In general, students prepare for 6 months before departing. Please contact FBI for further details as soon as possible.
A.Your family will worry, wherever you are going. First, clarify why you want to study abroad, and whatyou expect as the outcome. Tell them what you want to do after you come back, and why you chose Fiji Islands as your destination.
A.With the allowance of the immigration office in Fiji Islands, students from visa exemped country apply for their student permit after entering Fiji Islands. On the other hand, students from non visa exempted country apply for their student permit before entering Fiji Islands.
Visa process
A.Depending on the way you spend your weekends, this will vary. If you are in a dormitory, it will be approximately 200 to 600 U.S. dollars. If you are in a host family, it will be approximately 200 to 500 U.S. dollars. If you want to go to the islands, it is better to bring extra for that.
A.Yes. Electronic devices are expensive in Fiji Islands. Please bring your electronic devices such as computers or digital cameras before coming to Fiji Islands.
A.If you chose to stay in a dormitory, you can cook your own meals. In Nadi, you can also buy imported food including Asian food. You can purchase fresh vegetables and seafood in markets.
A.You can purchase notebooks and textbooks in a book store. However, you can only purchase English-English dictionary in Fiji Islands. Please prepare a dictionary with your native language and English before coming to Fiji Islands.
A.Fiji Islands, compared to the surrounding countries, is a clean country. Almost no reports are given on Malaria and dengue fever.
However, there is Filaria which can be infections from mosquitoes. During the high season of Filaria (November to February), free tablets are given at hospitals to avoid from infection.
We have no reports of any students infected by Filaria so far. It is a rare disease.
A.What the family eats depends on their cultural backgrounds.
Fijians eat taros in general as well as rice and Chinese food. Indo Fijians eat rice and Roti(Indian bread) with curry.
A.Beautiful beach is 40 to 50 minutes drive away from Nadi. Also, you can visit islands on weekend.
A.There are Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Taiwanese, Russians, Indonesians studying at Free Bird Institute. We are expecting more students from all over the world!
A.There are approximately 8~12students per class, In high-seasons such as summer break(July-September), the maximum is 15. Every classroom has an air-conditioner.
A.School uses ‘Face to Face’ which is commonly used for English learning. And in the business class (highest level), ‘New insights into Business’ is used.
